First Aid Responder (FAR)

Course Duration: 3 Days

Course Price: €215 per Student

Course Capacity: 8 Student Maximum

This is a three-day certified course delivered to the current Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) Education and Training standards. It is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency first aid should the need arise. This is the Health Safety Authority (HSA) standard for first aiders within the workplace.

 Incident procedure,

 Cardiac First Response Community,

 Common medical emergencies,

 Injury management and shock,

 Care of the unconscious patient,

 Burns and electrical injury care,

 Hypothermia & hyperthermia,

 Information management,

 Communications and the well-being of the first aider.

Course Requirements: There are no previous requisites for this course, this course provides a successful student with introductory emergency care and defibrillator use. This course is ideal for anyone for a workplace first aider as well as community or voluntary organisations.

Certification will be through our affiliated Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) approved training institute.
